sony xperia sola www.netbooknews.com Droidcon 2012 in Berlin maybe be a small event with only 1000 or so developers but they are clearly important enough to get a product launch. Sony announced the Xperia Sola smartphone with a 3.7-inch Reality Display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, NFC and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich promised for the summer months. What sets the the Xperia sola apart is that it features "floating touch" navigation, which enables "magic" web browsing without physically touching the screen. It also means that you can use the handset with your gloves on. It's too bad this feature wasn't released at the beginning of the winter not the beginning of spring.
